Enjoy a scenic mountain hike across from Shickshinny on the Mocanaqua Loop Trail. From Shickshinny, cross the Susquehanna River into Mocanaqua then turn left before the railroad overpass and park at the end of the road. This is the start and end point for the trail. Once you print your map, you can explore any of the clearly marked paths. To begin, leave the parking lot and walk through the gate at the Treatment facility then continue toward the mountain and you will see the entrance to the trail.
Wear appropriate footwear and remember to keep the trail clean. If you carry it in, then carry it out. Enjoy!
